Do Not Disturb

Description

Do Not Disturb (DND) stops internal calls from ringing a user's telephone and returns busy tone to the caller. DND does not stop external calls from ringing nor does it affect the user's ability to make calls.

Conditions and Feature Interactions

• DND does not affect Recall or Callback.

• Incoming DID and DIL calls over DASSII trunks always override DND unless call forwarding or system rerouting for busy state takes place. Overriding for other types of DID trunks is optional; see Programming below for details.

• A page group cannot be placed in DND.

• Generally, DND only applies to the prime line of a physical device. However,

• for Multicall Groups, all members of the group must be in DND in order for a call to the group to receive DND.

• for Key System Groups, only the prime number of the group must be in DND in order for a call to the group to receive DND.

• The "Do Not Disturb" setting ("Yes" or "No") in the Class of Service Options form does not prevent the RAD from being placed in DND.

• If you enable or disable DND from a non-prime member of a MdUG, the setting (enable/disable) is applied to all the members of the MdUG.

• DND setting of the prime member is applied to new members added to a MdUG.

• If a member is deleted from a MdUG, then the DND setting is reset to Off and the DN is displayed in the DND form.

• It is recommended that all members of a MdUG have the same COS settings as the prime member.

• DND is overridden:

• If the calling station has the DND Override - Automatically COS option enabled.

• If a station has DND Override - Accept COS option enabled and the calling station has the DND Override - Allowed COS option enabled.

• In the Call Rerouting form, if All is not selected in the Call Rerouting DND Type field, then internal calls from a console will always override DND.

Operation

To activate Do Not Disturb:

1. Lift the handset (or press speaker key on 5505).

2. Dial the Do Not Disturb Feature Access code.

3. Hang up.

To de-activate Do Not Disturb:

1. Lift the handset.

2. Dial the Cancel Do Not Disturb Feature Access code.

3. Hang up.

To activate or de-activate Do Not Disturb:

To activate Do Not Disturb from a remote station:

1. Lift the handset.

2. Dial the Do Not Disturb Remote feature access code.

3. Dial the number of the station to which Do Not Disturb is to apply.

1. Lift the handset.

2. Dial the Do Not Disturb Cancel Remote feature access code.

3. Dial the number of the station with Do Not Disturb activated.

4. Hang up.

1. Press Menu.

2. Press Do Not Disturb.

   To Turn On the feature - press RCL (On).
   To Turn Off the features - press RCL (Off).

2. Press Top Arrow Key until SuperKey? appears.

3. Press Send Key.

4. Press Top Right Hand Key until Do Not Disturb? appears.

5. Do one of the following:
   To Turn On the feature - press Top Left Key (TurnOn).
   To Turn Off the features - press Top Left Key (TurnOff).

2. Dial the Do Not Disturb Remote feature access code.

3. Dial the number of the station to which Do Not Disturb is to apply.

3. Dial the number of the station with Do Not Disturb activated.

To activate Do Not Disturb on behalf of an extension user

1. Select Set DND from the Program menu.

2. Enter the extension number using the computer keyboard.

3. Click Yes.

To cancel Do Not Disturb on behalf of an extension user

1. Select Cancel DND from the Program menu.

2. Enter the extension number using the computer keyboard.

3. Click Yes.

To cancel Do Not Disturb for all extensions

1. Select Cancel All Stations DND from the Program menu.

2. Click Yes.

3. Click Yes again to confirm the cancellation.
